What you see is what you get! UK Bjorn do not draw on a pool of musicians to piece together a band for your event. They are a settled line up made up of husband and wife team Steve and Kerri, supported by long standing members.
With the classic sound and look being carefully replicated and by bringing you the on stage chemistry that you will only ever experience with musicians who know one anothers every move, youll be transported right back to the good old days where it all began and taken on a journey through the many years of global domination.
UK Bjorn are a North Staffordshire based 4 piece band with live vocals, keys and guitar. The show is fully choreographed from start to finish, meaning that we require a practical location to set up and perform. Space wise, ideally we need an area approximately 6 x 1.5 metres or 5 x 2 metres as a minimum. There should also be a good provision of electrical sockets as close to the performance area as possible. A raised stage is recommended to both protect our equipment and improve the audience experience. Where this is not available, the facility to cordon off the stage area would be desirable.
A secure, preferably lockable space, with seating and clothes hanging facilities is required. This space should be as close to the performance area as possible and should accommodate four people comfortably for the duration of the event.
UK Bjorn comes to you fully self-contained, with a top Quality FBT PA rig, with Qube 118sa bins and Mitus 152a tops. In simple terms this means that our music system can comfortably accommodate a room filled with up to around 1000 people.
Not wishing to leave themselves in the dark, the band also have plenty of stage lighting including on stand led lighting cans, floor stage floods and a fabulous central effect light giving off a real 70s disco vibe. To enhance the lights we use an on stage haze machine where permitted. The haze liquid is water based, but can still affect smoke detectors close to the stage area, so usage of this is assessed on an individual basis.
If your event does not include a DJ, wrap around continuous play 70s music can be provided and played through UK Bjorn's PA system to break up the silence in between and around sets. Please note however that this is not a DJ service and as such will not be manned, nor song requests taken.
Finally, for added peace of mind, UK Bjorn have public liability insurance and all electrical equipment is PAT tested annually. Certification available upon request.
